“Here in Southwest Baltimore, three neighborhood associations formed a consortium to transform vacant city-owned lots into functioning, beautiful green spaces that can be used for artistic and community activities. This consortium is called Lots of Art. To date, three lots along S. Carey Street and one on West Lombard Street show the success of this initiative. The largest and most popular of our Lots of Art project is Sunflower Village in Franklin Square. We continue to identify places to create community spaces that serve multiple purposes, and have the positive effect of reducing blight in SW Baltimore.” #EveryStoryCounts
